The AI Compute Race Glossary Evidenced

Evidenced

What does “Evidenced” mean?

Evidenced

The book’s word for the load the public record shows: a megawatt counts as evidenced when a primary document shows it energized or when Epoch AI’s site-level estimate counts it as operating IT capacity, and never when the builder says so. Epoch’s estimates are of installed capacity, not a metered draw, and they are most of the evidenced side of the campus ledger, which says so. Chapter 12.
