# Chapter 13, the license, not the land

Due 6 April 2027

**The test.** The G42 pathway renewed past its sunset of 6 April 2027 without a change of ownership would weaken the claim. A lapsed pathway would confirm it, and so would a renewal that came only with a change of ownership. A new American vehicle taking the license in G42’s place would count as that change.

open Open. Stargate UAE’s first 200 megawatts, due energized by 30 September 2026 on its builders’ schedule of December 2025, are read as a schedule indicator, not as a test of this claim, because a missed quarter has other causes on the record, the war with Iran that began on 28 February 2026 among them. No announcement that the phase was energized has been found by the end of October, so the indicator reads late.
