# Rental index

What does “Rental index” mean?

Rental indexA published series of what a chip’s hour rents for across many providers. Silicon Data’s indexes are what the CME contracts track and what the book’s test on Hyperion reads on 1 June 2029. The publisher has described its inputs four ways, as chapter 14 says, and its letter to the CFTC of October 2026 does not reconcile them. *Chapter 14.*
