# Energized

What does “Energized” mean?

EnergizedConnected and actually drawing power. It is the grid’s word, and this book’s test of operating. An authorization is not an energization, and load counts as energized only when it can be seen drawing. See evidenced. *The Introduction; chapter 12.*
