# Break-point

What does “Break-point” mean?

Break-pointA rental price for an accelerator-hour at which the book’s model of Hyperion changes its ordering of the four futures. On SemiAnalysis’s $3.1 million figure for a 72-accelerator rack there are three. Below $3.01 an hour the strategic engine stops being the best future for the campus and the rationed utility takes its place. Below $2.66 the strategic engine no longer covers its rent. At $1.84 the commodity case would break even. The book’s figures, not a market’s. *Chapter 14.*
