# Advanced packaging

What does “Advanced packaging” mean?

Advanced packagingThe step where logic meets memory, in which an accelerator’s dies and memory stacks are bonded into one package on a single base. In the summer of 2026 it was the narrowest corridor of the buildout, because every frontier accelerator goes through TSMC’s packaging, some of it done with outside packaging houses. *Chapter 5.*
